So, Mario,
You and I agree about aperture fever.
Are you ready to help me build a rotary kiln to make
a 60-inch ?
................or maybe a 48 ( 1.2 Meters) to start
?
Maybe we could set up on Baily Hill for the Obs.
Paul

  Hi all,

Great work as usual on the newsletter. I
enjoyed reading, as I am out in California right
now working on a strategy session on health care
  reform with AMA, representing Mass.
(I know, this is rough work to be in 70 degree
weather while you all are sub freezing, but...
  someone has to do this)

However, I must strenuously object to president
Beckwith's summary of the past 10 years of
advances, specifically number 4, where he states:

"Most amateurs are cured of "aperture envy""

Bite your tongue, real amateurs are NEVER cured of
aperture fever. In telescopes, bigger is ALWAYS
  better!

  Mario Motta
