[Atmob-discuss] Question on exoplanets

I spoke to David Charbonneau in person about amateur participation in
exoplanet hunts last year after the wonderful talk him and others gave at
the Zero Arrow theater. Apparently there is a very small group of amateurs
involved in this pursuit. But it seems better suited to those with some
experience in photometry and LOTS of patience and diligence. I have an
interest in doing this, but simply don't have the time (family and work
obligations), limited photometry experience and need for more equipment
(filters), to pursue it at this time.

More in terms of this person's question, I met a reporter for '
exoplanetology.com'. They have a twitter account and an internet
publication. They seem to follow along and report on new discoveries. I'm
not sure if there are better or more 'official' sources there are out there.
It may be a place to start at least.
