[Atmob-discuss] LCROSS impact

A week from this coming Friday at 7:30 EDT the LCROSS impact will occur on the Moon in the Southern area near the limb. The web site below has lots of information for amateurs to observe with maps and much more, the only thing is that at that time for us it will be after Sun rise but it is worth trying if it can be seen. The use of an infrared filter might help to knock down the sky brightness and make the limb of the Moon more easily visible.
Check out the web site, give it a try if it is clear, this should be interesting if we can see it.
