This weekend I have sent a message to Senator Panagiotakos (
<http://www.mass.gov/cc/lowell.html> Lowell,
<http://www.mass.gov/cc/dunstable.html> Dunstable,
<http://www.mass.gov/cc/groton.html> Groton,
<http://www.mass.gov/cc/pepperell.html> Pepperell,
<http://www.mass.gov/cc/tyngsborough.html> Tyngsborough and
<http://www.mass.gov/cc/westford.html> Westford)
and Representative Jim Arciero (Chelmsford, Littleton and Westford).
We have lots of members in these towns. Others also contacting them will
constitute a landslide of opinion and ensure their support.
Please do so.

Subject: [Atmob-announce] early returns on Light Bill, need all to help
Hi all,
So far we have the Light Pollution Bill submitted by:
House side: Alan McCarthy (D) East Bridgewater
Mary Grant (D) Beverly
and Alice Peisch (D) Natick, weston (thanks to George Roberts)
In Senate Cynthia Creem (D) Newton
Bruce Tarr (R) Goucester
So, we can now say its bi-partisan, and has multiple sponsors.
Note, I have gotten 4, and George Roberts got one.
It was not difficult, it only required asking.
I really feel this has become an easy sell. I ask again, for all to please write
your Representative and Senator, and ask that they become co-sponsors for the
Light Pollution Bill.
We have only till February 4th to get cosponsors, so.. I really need all of you
to act now. If everyone will contact their rep and senator, I believe we will
get a fairly good response rate. as we have over 300 members, we really could
have an overwhelming list of cosponsors, which will make this bill soar.
So.. if you really want Massachusetts to have a light bill, this is your time to
act. They respond to their constituents, not an outsider like me.
I told Cynthia Creem I have an "army" to develop momentum for this bill. Guys,
that means all of YOU in the ATMOB, all 350 members.
refer to my prior posts for the bill itself and links to the state house.
Note.. do not need to be copied on your sending your e-mail to your reps, but..
really would like to know when/ if you get a response.
Please let me know the rep/senators name and city represented. I will do the
follow up.
Time is short, please act ASAP!
Mario Motta
