Attached please find a generic lighting code that I wrote which shows reasonable light
levels for car dealerships. Susan Harder

Regarding the Bock Honda dealership being built in Westford that Eric and Mairo wrote
about-----

I (an Acton resident) am willing to meet with the Westford Assistant Town Manager if some
Westford resident is also willing to be part of this meeting.

I spoke with Steve Ledoux today (he is the current Acton TM and previously was the
Westford TM up to January of this year), and he suggested that either the Westford ATM or
the Planning Department head would be good choices to talk with. He mentioned that the
Planning board could put restrictions on the Honda dealership permit, even though Westford
doesn't have any LP ordinance.

Westford resident, please respond to me off line if you are willing to be a part of this
meeting.

Hi Eric,

I have added the ATMOB on this reply. To do that you need someone from the town to ask
for an ordinance, can not do as on outsider, so.. anyone who lives there ready to go to
city council?
The Gloucester ordinance, or the Acton ordinance are the best, were thoroughly vetted by
city lawyers, so would use those as templates.
Happy to help if requested.

looks like a honda dealership is going in south of the atmob observing site.

don't think it's too late to get involved but I have neither the time, energy or

other resources to push it all myself. I've been told privately by folks in

Westford town government that they would welcome a well-written lighting

ordinance that has survived a legal challenge. There are sensitive on this

point because they have been getting sued on a regular basis for trying to

preserve green space in the town in general from ill thought-out development.

also, FYI if you have trouble mailing to the list, mail me directly. I've had

to make some changes (yet again). Sorry about all the chaos but it's starting

to settle out. I should have one or two more rounds of changes in the next

couple of months before everything settles out.
