Anna,
I am replying to the list so that others can get my
report.

I think we ended up with about 15 scopes set up. I
brought two small ones - 60mm.
I gave away a large carton of surplus lenses and the
few that were left over, went to the Clay Center.
I was indoors during the day, helping to make and
decorate LTI telescopes. I found that if I replaced
the eye lens with a strong bi-concave, we got a much
clearer image and an upright image! The people liked
that better but I only had a dozen of that type of
lens.

It was very cold and windy when I went down to look
at the solar scopes. No sunspots and too hazy for
prominences. Several kites were flying - very good
weather for flying.
The Moon was beautiful and ethereal in the slight
haze and blue sky in the background. After dark, the
contrast was better and the Beehive, M44, was in
the same wide FOV.

Seeing was pretty good but it was difficult to
resolve the Cassini Division because the ring plane
is closing up. One cloud band was visible.

  >Dear Paul: At least a goodly number of people
signed up. The sun did come out. I didn't feel bad
  about not going.
  >My daughter said she would like to celebrate
Mothers' Day on Saturday. So we did, she brought
  flowers. Took back money.
  >The money pot that was supposed to be for her
when my sister passed away had grown. So that I
feel I should meter it out to her instead of
letting the Medicare or nursing home take it. I
hope to be around for a little while still. But,
  you never know.
  >I guess I don't understand the concept of
self-employment. Where money comes in and goes
  out.
  >She says she gets FREE housing and food. She is
happy as a clam in a shell.
  >Bye for now Anna
