Hi All,

I just wanted to share some great news.  Tonight, the Acton residents unanimously passed an initiative to replace over 750 aging Hg vapor streetlights with full cutoff, high efficiency lamps of a type to be determined by town management.  A number of individuals and town organizations were responsible for putting together this well conceived plan. Successful planning included generating an inventory of all streetlights in the town, researching lighting alternatives, running the numbers and finding alternative funding sources.  Special mention goes to our own Bernie Kosicki for tirelessly spearheading the effort as Chairman of the Acton Outdoor Lighting Education Committee.  Don't forget to slap him on the back and offer congratulations the next time you see him about!
