Tal,
Dear Friend and Colleague:
If you haven't seen it already, in today's ( Sat.
Globe) Pg. D8, Alan McRobert pays home to your
outrageous patron, Velikovsky and his hypotheses
about Venus, Earth, and Moon.
Enjoy!
Next Friday, I journey over the sea to the beautiful
island of Nantucket to view the new 24-inch R-C in
its newly adopted home, far from the heat of west
Texas. Soon, the cleaned up 8-inch Clark will be
re-installed in the smaller dome. Dr. Strelnitski
now has a new baby to have his students fawn over.
The first light ( really 3rd - Wisconsin,TX, and now
MA) photos are incredible, taken with an SBIG
ST10000 CCD. Vladimir took everything but the
roll-off roof observatory - not suitable for harsh
North Atlantic winters. Attached are the first
photos. The small crater in the center is MItchell.
Contact me if they do not transmit properely.
I have not yet found Maria Mitchell's gravesite near
Loines, but have some new guides to assist.
Paul
