Bruce,

          If you'll be there over Memorial Day weekend, keep in mind 
the huge Riverside Telescope Makers Conference (Stellafane of the 
west) is held then in the nearby San Bernardino Mountains. And during 
the few days before that, another conference is held at Lake 
Arrowhead; Gene Lucas, 1st Cc: address, can tell you about it, while 
Alson Wong at the last Cc: can tell you about RTMC. 3rd is Bob 
Victor, who stays in Palm Springs generally through May, and another 
observer, Lampert Levy (2nd Cc:) in nearby Palm Desert.
