Kelly,
From my backyard in Acton at about 9PM I also saw about Mag 3 due to thin
clouds. The sky was very bright. There are no lights visible from my yard
(except from the house windows).
The best I've seen for Orion from here is nearly Mag 5, when the Orion
Nebula is visible naked eye. I noted both in the web site.
