Yes, I found it in the newsletter archive.
I think there should be a link to all clubhouse policies on the front page of the Website. Please discuss at next EB meeting.
Also, I believe there should be a regulation added to limit the radiated power of green lasers at the clubhouse as WickedGreenLasers.com is now advertising 120 mW - sufficient to start fires, cause permanent eye damage, and burn holes in some items.
The 1976 Laser Institute of America regulation limiting lasers in the outdoors to Class3b - 5 mW has not been changed. Howie Glatter claims he never sell one brighter than that (any more).
WSP outlawed them in total at WSP at the request of the Boca Chica NAS because jets on mission may fly at low altitudes and there is no time for a user to react in time to avoid a possible hit.
Of, course, the military is in violation of all this in Iraq.
Remember, I did not start the query - other members did and I gave the best info I have as Laser Safety Officer at Axsys IR Systems.
More accurate info on who can and cannot use various lasers can be obtained from LIA.
Sorry for stirring up and angering so many liberals.
Paul
