[ATMoB-discuss] Green Lasers?

I've seen aviation charts show a warning about a
laser hazard at Millstone Hill, presumable
regarding the now defunt Firepond laser (which
Mike Mattei worked on, BTW).  This makes me
wonder if the FAA gave special dispensation to
the use of sky pointed lasers at that site, and I
also wonder if there had been such a special
dispensation if it is still in effect.  Of course
even if such special dispensation exists it might
only be for official MIT Lincoln Lab work, and
not give special dispensation to ATMoB or
individuals acting on their own.
