Christine,
I remember Dr. McCrosky from my high school days at
Harvard and my old friend Walt Webb from BMOS-Hayden
planetarium.
The last reference I saw from himon Google was a
talk at the Skyscrapers in 1979.  Also, the history
of Univ. of Hawaii mentions him and Walt setting up
a Baker Super-Schmidt in 1957 on Haleakala because
the Baker - Nunn  Cameras were not ready  for 
operations. 
I would be very interested in any results you obtain
as well as my regards to Walt. We did many mountain
climbs and star parties together in the 50's, 60's.
