Ketones are produced when there is an acidotic/anearobic environment
(Diabetic ketoacidosis). A starvation diet also produces ketones, but
from a bad nutritional state. That is also the problem with a protien
diet. Bottom line, one should not damage their health with fad bad
diets, yes you loose weight, but at what cost.
This is getting a bit off topic. Acetone is great for lens cleaning. (I
justify now my posting).
