Compromise is the key to a purchase. I drooled over the Canon 10D that many Pro's use but realized, that at $10,000, I was
"jus dreamin'".
I prefer the focus mechanism in the telescope holder rather than in the camera. However, this means I have to pay extra for each lens I add on.
I have just received the Canon 100mm F/2 with USM ( ultrasonic motor). Anxious for clear sky to check it out. This was 1/4th the cost of a 50mm F/1.2. ( I mentioned that my old 50mm F/1.2 FD lens for film has too short a back focal distance to use with the 20D).
