I couldn't find it last night but I found it tonight. Boy is that one bright comet! I think it was on par with the full moon when
the full moon is that low in the sky. I could have used 7X35 binoculars (instead of 7X50) and worn sunglasses and I still wouldn't
need to use averted vision or anything like that. The key was waiting for all those clouds to move away.
The sky was bright yellow and the comet was much whiter - it really stands out as a beautiful silver comet shaped comet. One of
those rare comets that looks like the general public expects it to look. Kind of like the birdie used in badminton.
I found it at 4:50 and watched it until 4:55. It was visible naked eye once you know where to look but it appeared only about 1/4
degree naked eye so you have to know exactly where to look. Venus was much easier to find naked eye.
I also looked for it around noon but there were very thin clouds that made it impossible to spot at that time. I will try to spot
it tomorrow during the day if the sky is a deep blue.
