With all the Excellent work that is being done to reduce light pollution
we "Imagers" still need to deal with this problem...
Imaging with Light Pollution
If you image with a B&W camera then this really would not apply, but if
you use a 1shot color camera or DSLR, then you are all too aware of the
problem with light pollution,
Normally there are tools that will remove this problem in the digital
darkroom but with a cost to the valuable data you spent hours
collecting.
Now, If you do have to deal with this problem like I do, here is a piece
of equipment to add to the imager's toolkit
1x Lumicon Broadband Filter, :)
I have owned this filter for years and always using it for my visual
outings, lately, I have been only imaging lately and this filter was
going to be sold on Astromart to fund my next camera..
before I sold it, I thought...why not test it out on the camera and see
what it would do for me,

for anyone who images.. a 1 shot color camera does not like line pass
filters, however broadband actually works quite well,
(this would include most DSLRs and other 1shot color ccds)
here is a webpage I put together to display my results..

http://www.astronight.com/dsfilter.htm
BTW this filter is not for sale :)

Hope it helps!
