To all:
I tried to find Comet McNaught 2006P1 this morning between
5:45AM(dawn) and 7:15 ( sunrise)without finding it in 7 X 40 binocs.

It had been cloudy after sunset but this AM was perfectly clear at 5 AM.
I found a new location in Burlington with a clear eastern horizon. Sunrise was as predicted. I saw Jupiter and Mars to the southeast but nothing resembling a comet ! It is supposed to be -1 magnitude?
Did it fizzle ?
Unfortunately I did not have a Goto mount. This is discouraging after seeing beautiful pictures taken by other amateurs.
