I wanted to address Peter's comment about the upcoming
star party hosted by the Science Club for Girls (SCFG)
in Cambridge.
I worked with the SCFG to help organize this event and
I want to assure everyone that the star party run by
ATMoB and the accompanying astronomy and forensic
activities organized by the SCFG are by no means
exclusively for girls. The event will be open to all
of the residents of Cambridge and its neighboring
communities as part of this year's Cambridge Science
Festival. The Festival events are being promoted to
all the children in the Cambridge Public School system
and to the greater community as a whole through a
variety of media. We therefore expect a very diverse
group of children to attend the event, not just the
girls who participate in the after-school science
club.
For more information on the festival, please visit:
http://www.cambridgesciencefestival.org/index.php.
Also feel free to send me any questions you may have
by e-mail.
