H.A. Rey, the author of "Curious George" did publish a nice introductory
star atlas/guide many years ago. I believe his widow was still around in
Cambridge as recently as two or three years ago, so I could guess that
either she or the estate is the source of some of the funding, and the
programs listed on the Margret & H.A. Rey Center web page suggest that
it might be geared toward interesting children in astronomy. Even if
they're not planning on "serious" astronomy/research it's a good thing
indeed!
