The transparency was very poor in the late evening of Dec 14 into the early
morning hours of Saturday the 15th, in fact at times Betelgeuse and Rigel
weren't very obvious to the naked eye. However as is many times the case
with poor transparency, the seeing was excellent--- at least for New England
skies.

This was also my first imaging session with a new TeleVue 4x Powermate,
replacing my trusty old eyepiece projection system. With my C11 and DMK
camera, it results in an f/40 system, with slightly less magnification than
the f/44 of the eyepiece system used for the earlier Dec 9th image.
