[Atmob-discuss] Mars early on Dec 9th

This past Saturday night into early Sunday morning we had some of the best seeing I've seen in years this late in the Fall. I took several video sequences, the single best of which resulted in this pair of images:

There are plenty of clouds currently visible on Mars, and the RGB image reveals them best. The RRGB image penetrates these clouds more easily and allows the surface features to stand out. The prominent dark spot below each image's center that appears to be bracketed by finer dark details is Solis Lacus, sometimes called the 'Eye of Mars'.
