Yes, we were at a star party in Dorchester last night, with maybe 30 or 40
people - a good number of them inner-city teenagers. We knew the pass was
going to happen, and that we were in a pretty decent location to see it. A
lot of them didn't believe us that it would happen. When the pass happened,
right on time, there were a lot of "wows!" and "that's cool"-s, but a common
reaction was that we knew all this stuff because we were nerds.

Subject: [ATMoB-discuss] ISS passover

The International Space Station passed over last evening around 8:42
PM. With the help of heavens-above.com, I was prepared for it. I
first saw it coming up to the right of the bowl of the Big Dipper. I
compared its brightness to Jupiter and thought it was slightly
brighter.

I happened to be at an outdoor ice-cream stand in Dartmouth, MA at
the time, and I let people around me know what it was. Some
teenagers thought it was "cool." Others thought it was "weird."

It will pass tonight again around 9:07 PM.
