[ATMoB-discuss] seeking age of Sears telescope

I'm trying to narrow down the age of a Sears telescope
that was most likely purchased between 1967 and 1972.
I know the Sears model number as well as the purchase
price of the scope, but I've seen no date or year of
manufacture printed on the scope or its instructions.

Do any of you know if there there is a public or
university library in the area that has a collection
of old Sears catalogs including ones from that era
(or some pack rat in the club who happens to have kept
such catalogs)?  If so I'm hoping that by examining
such catalogs I could learn what years the model of
scope was sold by Sears and may, using the price, be
able to narrow it down to a specific year.
