[ATMoB-discuss] Making a Dob vs buying a

 Has anyone broken down the cost of building a Dob from scratch?   On one 
hand I'd love to grind my own mirror, and make a truss type dob, but looking 
at the price point of the new Meade 10" lightbridge scopes, I'm not sure 
even if I had the skill to grind a 10" mirror, that I could make a scope, 
much if any cheeper than Mead is selling them for.

Also if there is anyone in the club that owns a Lightbridge scope, and 
brings it to the club house file, I would very much like to view through it, 
to see it it meets the hype over these new scopes.
