Hi all,

My daughter, Valerie, and her husband, Bob, live just down the street
from Steve and Donna O'Meara in Volcano, Hawaii.

Valerie called me a few hours after the quake to let me know that she and
Bob were okay. Bob was in Honolulu on Oahu 
on business and was planning on returning home to the Big Island that
night, but he was delayed because the Honolulu Airport was 
closed to take-offs. Only incoming flights were using the runways.

Valerie was driving to the market when the quake hit. She had stopped at
a light when the car started bouncing. She thought 
she had been hit from behind, but then realized that EVERYthing was
shaking! 

There was no damage to their house, and they're both fine.
