The Exploratorium science museum in San Francisco had
a live webcast of the transit as seen from Kitt Peak
National Observatory. They have archived the transit
(featuring images in white light, hydrogen alpha, and
calcium K). Here is the link:

On this same site, you can also view archived video of
the 2004 transit of Venus and images of an earlier
transit of Mercury in 1999.

The Museum of Science (where I work as an educator)
had planned on interpreting the transit for visitors
using a number of telescopes equipped with solar
filters; we were all disappointed by the clouds and
rain. On the bright side, however, we are all set now
for the transit of Venus in 2012! Hopefully the
weather will cooperate this time around.
