Some people prefer, even if they receive the newsletter electronically,
to print it out and read the hardcopy at their leisure when away from
their computer.

HTML, by its very nature, is not well suited for hardcopy, since there
is no reliable way to specify in HTML how content is to layout on
pages of paper when printed.  Frequently when one tries to print an
HTML web page text or images get chopped off on the top, bottom, or
right side of printed pages, images straddle printed page boundaries,
etc.
