[ATMoB-discuss] Recent Jupiter webcam results

Believe it or not, it hasn't rained _every_ day and night in the last few weeks ;-)

On late Monday night of May 29 we actually had some of the steadiest air since the Mars opposition of last year. Jupiter was fantastic both visually and with the webcam. I took a series of videos to make a rotational animation spanning a 3 hour period, and during the first few videos the seeing was the best I've seen for Jupiter in years despite it's low altitude of only about 34 degrees at the meridian. From the video used for the 2nd frame of the animation I did some extra processing to bring out the best details I could, and so that result is presented at a larger scale than the animation. Unfortunately the seeing deteriorates as the rotational animation progresses, but at it's worst it was still better than our typical New England conditions.
