Hi Folks,

There is a star party tonight at Halibut Point State Park in Rockport.  We will set up at the visitor's center around 7:30pm.   For directions, go to the Gloucester Area Astronomy Club website at www.gaac.us - the pull down "about us" menu will bring up an aerial map.  You can move the map around - from the GAAC meeting site, follow 127 Washington Street until it becomes Granite Street.  You probably won't see any signs, but take the first left after Folly Cove - then left at the first dirt road after that.  There is a parking lot and attendant booth on the right - but if you bring a telescope you can drive out the dirt road to the visitor's center located along Quarry Lake.  The site is about 150' above sea level - not to worry about sand.   Good dark skies out that way.  Any q's drop me a line or ring my cell.
