Here's a color image of the Cocoon nebula taken in late July from my Saugus backyard:

This was taken in mag 3.5 to 4 skies, and unfortunately processing out the light pollution gradients limit the depth of the image somewhat. Fainter nebulosity would have been recorded in half the time from a dark site, but it's still amazing what can be done with a CCD camera even in much less than ideal skies.
