So that's the name of that galaxy!
I can actually bring out the distinct spiral arms of this galaxy in the
histogram, but that messes up M57. There's a better picture of his same
field on the web at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ssc2005-07a.jpg.
And Mario, if you look at the NASA picture linked above, you can see the
same unresolved double, just below 1296.

Very impressive! It looks like you have also recorded the 15th magnitude
galaxy IC 1296 as a faint diffuse glow in the lower left-hand corner of your
image.
