Steve,

 

One thing I can offer is an update on current and upcoming interplanetary
space missions. This year I am a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, and have
access to the expertise of many scientists in the planetary exploration
community. I am to give a number of dedicated talks on the subject in
assorted venues this year. Perhaps I could give an abbreviated version at
the meeting - depending on how many minutes would be available. Thoughts?

The next monthly meeting (July 10th) is member night. This is your chance to
give the club an update on your astronomical or telescope-building
activities.   If you'd like to give a short talk, send me an email  with the
name of your topic.  Allotted time will be based on the number of club
participants.

 

We are also having a flea market at the meeting - one person's trash is
another's treasure.  This is a good time to free-up storage space of
telescopes and accessories are collecting dust and sell them to the people
who will use them.
