For Gardner MA.

...I did find some paragraphs in this Zoning Ordinance Document, dated
2007... see below.

I already know of one business at the end of my street that is violating
these rules... some serious light trespass and glare. Plus the fixture is
not shielded. I may look into reporting this to the town inspector... been
chatting with him a bunch over the past 1+ years doing various work on the
observatory. He knows me, as he wants to post photos of the completed
observatory in the inspection office once I get everything complete. He
really liked the roll-off roof on my 10x14.

==============
various snippets in no specific order....

<>All artificial lighting shall be not more than eleven (11) feet in height
in pedestrian areas, and fifteen (15) feet in parking areas, and shall be
arranged and shielded so as to prevent direct glare from the light source
onto any public way or any other property. All parking areas which are used
at night shall be lighted as evenly and fully as possible. The Planning
Board shall require the applicant to provide the type and intensity (lumens)
of all proposed lighting for the parking areas

<>Interior and exterior lighting shall be arranged to ensure public safety
and shielded to prevent direct glare onto any public way or any other
property. The Planning Board shall require the applicant to provide the type
and intensity (lumens) of all proposed lighting for the parking structure.

<>Outdoor lighting, including lighting on the exterior of a building or
lighting in parking areas, shall be arranged to minimize glare and light
spillover to neighboring properties.

<>All outdoor lighting shall be designed and located so that a line drawn
from the height of the luminary along the angle of cutoff intersects the
ground at a point within a development site; except that this requirement
shall not apply to:
- low-level intensity pedestrian lighting with a height of less than ten
feet, or
- security lighting directed off the wall of a principal structure.
