[Atmob-club] [Atmob-announce] towns with LP laws

I can almost guarantee that Worcester does NOT have a light pollution
law... One of the active local businesses is a company that rents search
lights for events such as store grand openings, etc. These search
lights are primarily WWII vintage 6 or 8 foot diameter lights such as
were used for anti-aircraft searching. Also, a few years back when the
city was changing over it's street lights, I spoke to the director of
Public Works about having fully hooded lights. He rejected the idea
because "citizens want to see the glowing globe as they drive around at
night." Then he told me he knew about light pollution issues because
his son worked at Kitt Peak. These are the mind sets we have to battle.
