Julie,
It was a nice evening and I'm sorry you couldn't attend. The speaker did a
great job and the young man and his mother were thrilled to receive the
telescope and a few other goodies (Binoculars from Tony Costanza and his
"Astronomy Shoppe" and a big box of books from Tal). Over-all it was a
great evening and there were quite a few camera flashes so I expect you'll
see some photos on the website shortly. Over-all it was truly a fun night
and it was nice to see the North Shore club donate the 'scope to a young man
who will certainly use and appreciate it.
I hope you recover quickly from your cold.
- Steve

Interesting lecture that wouldn't go over my head+seeing the face of a young
man as
he receives a telescope=perfect reason to attend
BUT:
new head cold+room full of people+cancer patient new from treatment=bad idea
to attend
Common sense won out, but I would love a description/photo of the face of
our
Chilean boy as he got the gift of a lifetime. Please, someone, tell me how
it went.
