[Atmob-club] [Atmob-announce] scope for a good cause?

I have a Meade DS-2114ATS-TC that was used once.
It is complete in the original Meade packaging.  I didn't
use it because something better came along.  During
my one use, I had some concerns that the GOTO drive
was not moving accurately. I didn't spend any time verifying
if this was actually the case.  I would be willing to
donate it if someone would check it out and make
sure it is 100%.  I could drop it off this evening
at the clubhouse.

I just got a call from Children's Hospital. there's a patient from Chile who comes to the US periodically for treatment. he's about
14 or 15, and he's passionate about astronomy.

he's been trying (without luck) to find a nice scope to buy here in Boston. he and his family are returning to Chile on Saturday,
and it occurred to me that someone in the club might have a decent travel-ready scope suitable to donate to him. if a scope were
available, I think we could get the family to come to Thursday's meeting to accept the donation. any ideas out there? if so I need
to hear from you ASAP. thanks!
