folks...

I just got a call from Children's Hospital. there's a patient from Chile who comes to the US periodically for treatment. he's about 14 or 15, and he's passionate about astronomy.

he's been trying (without luck) to find a nice scope to buy here in Boston. he and his family are returning to Chile on Saturday, and it occurred to me that someone in the club might have a decent travel-ready scope suitable to donate to him. if a scope were available, I think we could get the family to come to Thursday's meeting to accept the donation. any ideas out there? if so I need to hear from you ASAP. thanks!
