The Boston Natural Areas Network  & Dept of Conservation and Recreation Star Party event has been added to the web site.

Boston Natural Areas Network and Department of Conservation and Recreation. The DCR rangers and BNAN will work together for this program and include it in the DCR spring activities newsletter. 

Dates:
Friday, April 4th -  Rain/Cloud Date Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th. 

Location/address:
Brook Farm Historic Site, West Roxbury (owned and operated by DCR) http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/metroboston/brookFarm.htm

The farm is located 1/3 mile west of the VFW Parkway on Baker Street in West Roxbury. Essentially to google directions would be about 600 Baker Street West Roxbury, MA. It's a lovely meadow surrounded by cemeteries, so will likely have low light pollution. Originally we wanted to use Bellevue Hill in Stonybrook but it is very wooded and would cover up quite a bit of sky.

Is there parking available adjacent to the observing field? Yes

What time can our club members arrive to set up their scopes?
We have full access to the park, so any time really. 

They will provide snacks, food and beverages, as well as hot chocolate to ATMoB members!
