The Locke Middle School Star Party event has been added to the web site.

Time: 6pm set-up, event from 7-9m
Where: Locke Middle School Billerica

200 8th grade students and parents are expected to attend.
There is parking adjacent to the telescope set up 
area, but power is not available.  There will be 
plenty of good food after the event, and cookies 
and hot chocolate served during.  Hope to see you there.

Directions to the Locke Middle School

Assuming you are coming from Boston - take 93 
north to 95 south.  Take 95 south to Route 3 
North.  Take Route 3 North to the Concord Road 
exit (I believe its Exit 27). Off the exit bear 
right and travel approximately 1 mile (past 
Sweeney's Funeral home on the right). After the 
funeral home, proceed straight up the hill (do 
not bear left with road). At the top of the hill 
at the light - make a right onto Route 3A. Go ~ 
1500 ft and make a left at the light (Friendly's 
is on the left) onto Tower Farm Road. Take Tower 
Farm Road to the end (about 1/2 mile) and take a 
right onto Allen Road.  Locke Middle School is ~ 1/4 mile on the left.

Alternate Route:

I realize that there is all kinds of construction 
happening on Rte 3 - there is another way but it 
is more side roads ­ Take 93 north to 95 south ­ 
then if you want to get off at Winn Street in 
Burlington - make a right off the exit ramp onto 
Winn Street - follow to intersection with Rte 3A 
in Burlington and bear right onto Rte 3A.  Follow 
Rte 3A into Billerica (~ 2 - 3 miles from highway 
exit - I am very bad at judging mileage) and make 
a right onto Allen Road.  Locke Middle School is 
approximately 1 mile on the right.  (Allen Road 
is a very curvy road from Rte 3A to school)
