The ATMOB Variable Star Observing Seminar event has been updated at the web site.
Location: ATMoB clubhouse  Westford, MA
Date: Saturday, Nov 10, 2007 at 5:30 PM
The focal point of this seminar will be an observing run on the naked eye eclipsing variable beta Persei (Algol). During an eclipse, this star fades from mag 2.2 to 3.5 and back. Mid-eclipse is predicted for 8:30 pm. We'll be making brightness estimates at 15 minute intervals from 5:30 - 11:30. We'll also look at the naked eye variables beta Lyrae, eta Aquilae, and delta Cephei. Participants are encouraged to bring their telescopes and enjoy some dark-sky observing during the "down time" between Algol estimates.

Veteran Variable Star Observer, Astronomy Magazine Columnist and long time ATMoB member, Glenn Chaple will be giving this seminar.
